Terms of service

The basis on which confirmation-statement.co.uk prepares and files a confirmation statement.

Working draft. This is a plain-English placeholder for the service. Have a solicitor review it before paid orders are taken.

The service

We prepare a confirmation statement and, after you pay, file it electronically with Companies House. You send the details and pay £59.99 on the order page. We email you if anything is missing or Companies House rejects the filing.

The site is not a portal for completing the form, and it is not legal advice, tax advice, or accountancy advice. It is not part of Companies House.

What is not included

The price covers only the confirmation statement described on the pricing page. It does not include company formation, accounts, VAT or PAYE registration, a company bank account, a registered office for hire, or a same-day filing product. If something you need sits outside the service, we will say so before doing extra work.

Fees and payment

The price is a service fee plus the Companies House fee, shown separately, and a total. A confirmation statement is £9.99 plus £50, total £59.99. You pay that total in checkout before anything is filed. Nothing is filed before that payment.

Checkout charges the agreed total in one go. Do not send card numbers in the notes or by email. If Companies House changes its own fee before we file, we will tell you the new total and will not file until you agree it.

Your information

You confirm that the details you send are accurate and that you are allowed to provide them, including the company authentication code and each director’s personal code. The confirmation statement has to match the company. We rely on what you tell us about changes to the public record.

Companies House

Companies House decides whether to accept a filing and how long that takes. If a filing is rejected because of a clerical mistake in paperwork we prepared from correct information, we correct it and resubmit. If it is rejected because the information was wrong or incomplete, we will tell you what to change.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel before the filing is sent to Companies House by using the contact form and quoting the order reference. If we have not yet paid Companies House, we refund the total you paid. If the Companies House fee has already been paid over and cannot be recovered, we refund the service fee where the filing did not go ahead because of our mistake, and we explain the position on the Companies House fee. Nothing in these terms limits rights that a consumer has under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales deal with disputes, except that a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also use the courts of their home country.
